The Decorator's Journal is created by Aisling, a Canadian-based company whose owner, Shannon Fletcher, has a passion for home decorating and a penchant for organization.

After purchasing her first house, Shannon was continually on the hunt for new furniture and accessories that would help transform it into her dream home. Equipped with floorplan leaflets, a notepad with scribbled dimensions, crumpled magazine clippings and a worn baggie full of paint chips and fabric samples, shopping had become more of a cumbersome task than a fun excursion. Shannon thought there must be a better way to organize all this information into one portable and convenient package.

So, with Shannon's decorating talents and experience with marketing, sales, design and advertising, the concept of The Decorator's Journal was born and the company Aisling was founded.

At Aisling we believe in giving back to those who are less fortunate and may not even have a place to call home, let alone decorate it. Therefore, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Calgary Home Builders Foundation.

Founded in 1986, the Calgary Home Builders Foundation provides shelter for those in need, including children with special needs, low-income families and seniors, the brain injured, troubled youth and the physically and mentally challenged.
